Double Diesel Medical Marijuana Strain Review

Double Diesel Medical Marijuana Strain Review

Not many cannabis strain varieties are as well received by MMJ patients, dispensaries, collectives, caregivers, growers, cultivators and breeders as the Diesel line of marijuana stains, and for good reason.  Among the Diesel line marijuana strains are some of the most popular and sought after medical marijuana strains, including Bio-Diesel, Double Strawberry Diesel, Grapefruit Diesel, Hawaiian Diesel, NYC Diesel, and Sour Diesel, to name just a few.  In company with the rest of the Diesel family of cannabis strains, Double Diesel ranks as a quality, high-grade medical marijuana strain.

Double Diesel Strain Appearance, Smell, Taste, Texture

Appearance: Double Diesel  marijuana has a mid-green tone, similar to that of other Diesel strains, scattered with light orange trichomes and sparkling crystals. Double Diesel marijuana buds are normally fat buds that vary in length.

Smell: Double Diesel has a strong scent, especially after the buds have been broken or ground in a a jar.  The pungent scent is one common to the Diesel strains.  It is a strong yet delicious tropical skunkish scent. The strong odor of the Double Diesel marijuana strain, and Diesel strains in general, is something to keep in mind if you are thinking of growing Double Diesel.

Taste: Double Diesel has a great cannabis tast that hits hard.  The aftertaste is also a delight, though cottonmouth is common after smoking the Double Diesel strain.

Texture:  Double Diesel has tighter buds than Sour Diesel, but is still a bit fluffy, with some loose greenery.

Effects from Smoking Double Diesel Weed

Double Diesel provides MMJ patients with a nice, calming mind high that is mentally relaxing.  While it is relaxing, the Double Diesel high will most likely not put you to sleep.  In fact, it is one of my favorite functional marijuana strains.  The Double Deisel buzz has a relatively long duration.  Smoking a single dose, i.e. a good sized bowl (say .3 grams) will keep you high for 3 to 6 hours depending on such things as you tolerance to THC, etc.

How to Grow Double Diesel Cannabis Plants

Double Diesel can be grown indoors or outdoors, using a hydroponic grow setup or soil.  However, Double Diesel strain cannabis plants are best grown indoors using a good hydroponic grow kit and artificial lighting, preferably High Pressure Sodium (HPS) grow lights.  Whether you start growing with Double Diesel cannabis seeds or clones does not make much of a difference.

What's The Difference Between F1, F2, and F3 Weed Strain Seeds?

Just as with common flowers or other household plants (roses, pea plants, etc...), Cannabis seed strains can be grown and crossbred. This is usually done for the purpose of developing new breeds with different characteristics such as the size of the plant, yield, taste, effect, bud to leaf ratio, or other specific traits that the grower desires. As this cross breeding continues, the plants end up forming different weed strain seeds, or generations. These are often described as being either F1, F2, or F3. In order to really make some informed seed purchase decisions it is very helpful to understand the differences between these various seed strains.
