Jack Herer Cannabis Strain Review

Jack Herer strain, named in honor of pro-cannabis and hemp activist, and author of two books including The Emperor Wears No Clothes, which has since been used in several efforts to decriminalize the use of cannabis.

Jack Herer Strain is a sativa dominant hybrid Haze crossed with Red Skunk Strain.  The buds of Jack Herer marijuana are a distinct, light green tone.  The smell is one of a citrus haze coupled with a slight scent of the classic fresh cannabis skunk scent.  The buds themselves are fairly dense, thick nugs, that can easily be broken up with ones hands.  Not only did Jack Herer's dedication to promote pro-marijuana legislation earn him his own signature marijuana strain, but in 2003 he was inducted into the Counter Culture Hall of Fame at the 16th Annual High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam.

The Jack Herer marijuana strain is a unique cross.  It's not difficult to tell that Jack Herer is a Sativa dominant marijuana strain.  However, due to the strong cross of Haze, qualities similar to those characteristic of an indica high come and go.

Jack Herer THC Levels

Jack Herer is a Mid-Potency marijuana strain with THC levels normally ranging from 15% to 20%.

Medicinal Uses of Jack Herer

Jack Herer strain's unique Sativa with a hint of indica high makes it conductive to treat many ailments.  It is often used to treat mental conditions, such as bipolar disorder, depression, ADD and ADHD.  It is further used to treat a number of different conditions including Alzheimer's and pre-Alzheimer's, nausea, epilepsy, cramps and migraines, to name just a few.

Growing Jack Herer Seeds

Jack Herer is a moderately difficult strain to grow.  But don't be discouraged, once mastered the harvests will prove well worth it.  For far the best results, Jack Herer marijuana plants should be grown indoors.  Jack Herer seeds produce plants that are taller than most other cannabis plants.  Flowering may take 7 to 11 weeks.  It's typical to harvest a yield of 350 to 450 dried grams of Jack Herer buds.

What's The Difference Between F1, F2, and F3 Weed Strain Seeds?

Just as with common flowers or other household plants (roses, pea plants, etc...), Cannabis seed strains can be grown and crossbred. This is usually done for the purpose of developing new breeds with different characteristics such as the size of the plant, yield, taste, effect, bud to leaf ratio, or other specific traits that the grower desires. As this cross breeding continues, the plants end up forming different weed strain seeds, or generations. These are often described as being either F1, F2, or F3. In order to really make some informed seed purchase decisions it is very helpful to understand the differences between these various seed strains. Photo by   Robert Nelson   on   Unsplash F1 Seeds: The First Breeding: An F1 seed variety is created by breeding together two pure strains. For example, a tall plant (represented with two dominant genes, AA) is bred with a small plant (represented by the two small recessive genes, aa). Since the resulting plants will each receive
