Springs Diocese and Colorado College say they support a zoning proposal to push medical marijuana businesses away from religious buildings and schools. The Colorado Springs planning commission is considering new zoning regulations that would control where medical marijuana businesses can be located in the city of Colorado Springs. The Gazette of Colorado Springs reported Thursday that the diocese and the college are among those who have expressed support of a proposal to restrict medical marijuana dispensaries and other cannabis related businesses from conducting business within 1,000 feet of churches, mosques, synagogues and college campuses.
